The Swans, their cygnets, tree climbing, and a lake. Swan Lake?

I had the awesome privilege of photographing the Swans yesterday. We all had a barrel of laughs and a whole heap of fun. The love this family have for each other just makes me melt, and the nurturing nature of Annabelle for her little sister is just amazing to watch. She said to me last night after dinner, "It's too bad I've only got one sister."

"How many would you like?" I asked her.

"A thousand!" was her answer!

I love this family. I had the awesome privilege of meeting them in a church in Santiago, Chile, (of all places!!!) when Adelaide the 16 month old was the size of a jellybean! They invited me home for lunch; we all got along like long lost friends (because I'd brought my Aussie accent with me to Chile!); their Ecuadorian neighbour came over with chocolate from the Amazon, made us all hot chocolate to drink, and we've been firm friends ever since!

I'm going to miss you all SOOOOOOO much when you head back to Chile for another three years in a couple of weeks' time!

Here is a sneak peek of the fun we had.

Tim and Sally, yes, it was exhausting but fun, and from what you see here, I hope you think it was worth it!

Cheeky Caleb

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Sydney. The Autumn leaves in the backyard were at their golden best. The sun was shining. The grass was dry. I know, 'cause I was rolling around in it photographing a cheeky little toddler by the name of CJ! He was so fast that we literally had ten seconds to shoot any new activity! Here's their sneak peek!

Chris and Allan, phew!!! At last, we got it done! It took us a while to tee it up, but I think it was worth it!

Enjoy!

Almost 2 Liam

I gasped when I bumped into Liam's Mum a week before our shoot, when she told me that Liam had been given a haircut! I thought Oh noooooo! His beautiful curls!!!!!! It turns out my fears were unwarranted as it was only a trim, and his curls are still very much insitu!!! AND, I got to photograph them!!! Here's a sneak peek of their shoot. I could do nothing but stare into Liam's eyes in this first photo all day!!

I was lying on the grass taking these shots when all of a sudden Master Liam gets up with Wags the dog, comes over to Clem and takes her sunnies off her head. He then toddles back over to the chair, puts them on his own face, and..... well........ look how too darn cute he was not to photograph!!!!

Sorry they took so long Louise and Pete, but I hope you enjoy these!!!

He's arrived! Meet young Lloyd!

Keri Meyers Photography

Do you know what the problem is with competitions??? I NEVER win!!! I really don't think anything's going to change, but in the hopes of starting up my collection of props for future bubs I'm going to photograph, it would be absolutely uber cool if I won this competition to get my collection of props started!!!!

Keri Meyers is having a competition here, so if you're like me and you're wanting a baby sling, head on over and enter!

Rich and Lisa

It was a beautiful March afternoon after school in Sydney. The weather was more like Spring than Autumn. It was the perfect weather to shoot Lisa and Rich's energetic family! I've known Rich and Lisa for years, way before the three cheeky monkeys came along! I met Luca when he was two weeks old, I missed Aidan's birth by 20 minutes, and then they moved to Thailand to work for the church there when Sianna was born, so I never got to meet her until she was almost 1!

Ok ok! I'll stop rambling!

Without further ado, here's a sneak peek! Sorry it's taken so long, Lisa, but I hope you enjoy these!

I had a Bible passage in mind when I took this photo on that March afternoon.... "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"" Romans 10:14-15 (ESV)

More New Zealand

IMG_4732

What better way is there for the kids to expend energy than in the Botanical Gardens during a mini shoot?!

Did I mention that I LOVED New Zealand? Well, if I didn't, I DID!!!! I think my friends' kids sum it all up here, don't you? Heehee! Yes, these are my first overseas clients! It was a sunny crisp autumn's day in Christchurch. Mum (Heather) was at home with a broken foot and Dad (Donald) played tour guide and took us out souvenir shopping (as you do)! Heather and Donald are very old friends of mine. I met Heather in Turkey (as you do) and we were roomies for 7 weeks! I last saw Heather and Donald in Sydney in 2002, before kids, and now they've got 3! Thanks SOOOOOOOOO much for your wonderful hospitality and for a great catch up!
