Chrissy & Tim Engaged!

It was a crisp, sunny Autumn afternoon in Sydney. I hadn't seen Chrissy for a few years. I met Chrissy at a few debriefing sessions after coming home from a trip to Central Asia. It was great to see her again, and to meet her lovely fiance Tim. They're getting married in November this year, and I can't wait!!!!
Guys, I hope you enjoy these! Here's a sneak peek into what we got up to on this sunny afternoon.

Can you spell L-O-V-E??!

1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a thumb war!!!!!

Awwwwwww...... this is the rock Tim proposed on!

I love the light in this shot...... This is a "Where's Wally" shot.... Can you see Chrissy's ring??

A Long Hiatus

Well hello hello! I can't believe it's half way through 2012 already! Time flies when you're having fun!

I must apologise for the long hiatus. I really have no excuses except for the fact that because my photography is not the only hat I wear, life sort of ran away with me! 2010 and 2011 were two of the craziest years too..... In 2010, I got a new job in July, bought a new car in August, bought a house in September, became a home owner, a land lady...... then in August 2011, I took the property back, got an army of friends in to paint it, renovated it, then moved in!

Two weeks later, I took off on a trip of a life time - 12 days on a photography workshop with the man who inspired me to become a photographer in the first place, the one and only Ken Duncan. This was an awesome trip to Botswana, photographing landscape and wildlife. Talk about catching the African Bug! I can't wait to go back again one day!

However, I digress...... things are moving forward with this adventure into the business of photography. The exciting news is that Photography By Clementine is now officially doing weddings!!!! The first official wedding is booked! My next post will be the E-shoot we did.......

Where did last year go?

Well, to catch you up on all that's happened in the world of Photography By Clementine since September, I did my very first official wedding in October..... well.... sort of. More to that story in the sneak peek!

In late November, I did a shoot in South Western Sydney, with someone I used to go to high school with and her family.

In December, I did a shoot with a colleague and her family, then came the crazy season. Thus, I am quite behind but I'm almost there!!!!

Christmas was nice and chilled and quiet. Just the way I love it. Just family, a beautiful Christmas lunch and Christmas Eve dinner, and going to church with my church family, celebrating the real reason for the Christmas season - the birth of Jesus and His gift to all mankind, eternal life through salvation by His blood. Forget about all the consumerism and commercialism of it all!

Then it came time to see out 2010 and welcome in 2011. I've never done it in such style!!!! A friend's house in Birchgrove with a front row seat to the Sydney New Year's Eve fireworks without the crowds. Can't get better than that!!!!

This was followed by the devastating news of the Queensland floods. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the floods, and one couldn't be prouder to call ourselves Australian when watching how everyone is pulling together to help out their neighbour in the aftermath and the clean up effort.

Then last week, another shoot with another colleague and her new baby, followed by Australia Day celebrations! Phew!!! No wonder I'm exhausted and the year's just begun!

Bring on 2011! This year is promising to be a very full and exciting year with big plans. Stay tuned and hold on to your seats!!! Mum's the word right now while things are getting sorted out and being worked out!

A few sneak peeks are coming this way in the next few days!!!! To my clients waiting and holding their breaths for a sneak peek of their shoot, it's not going to be much longer now!!! I promise and I'm very sorry and thanks for being sooooooo patient!

Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since I last blogged. Where did 2010 go? I especially can't believe that it's already the end of January!

Here are some fireworks photos to whet your appetite for the year to come!

The sun sets on 2010.....

Hello 2011!!

Well, last post you met two adorable kids where we spent lots of fun in the great out outdoors amongst the ducks and swans. The next day, I spent the day with these guys, right on the Parramatta River. Meet young N and his dimple!!!! Super cute.

Dave and Beth, thanks for being sooooooo patient, and it's been fun catching up with you guys in between and seeing young N dedicated and turning 1!!!

Cam, Louise, Cheeky Cody, and his little sister...

Well, it's been a loooooooooooong time coming, but with many apologies, finally, here is a sneak peek of my gorgeous friends Cam, Louise and their gorgeous kiddies!! Taken on two separate beautiful sunny Sydney days, and two different locations, here they are!!! I've said it before...... with toddlers, you've got about 10 seconds to capture the moment..... with young Cody, we had about 3!!!

Thanks for being soooooooo super patient guys!!! It's been a bit frantic around here lately!!!! A new job, car and mortgage, all since mid July!!!!

And a super special thanks for your patience, Louise and Cam. I thoroughly enjoyed the fun of running around and having the honour of capturing some precious memories of your family during this time in your lives. Thanks for the privilege of letting me into your lives and giving me a sneak peek!

There is nothing that can compare to brotherly love!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Two Beautiful Shoots on Two Beautiful Days in a Row!

Spring has sprung! It's been such a beautiful weekend with glorious warm morning sunshine. Warm days. The nights are still really chilly though. On Saturday, I finally got around to meeting up with Louise and Cam and finishing what we'd started! We'd rescheduled 3 times!!! (Or was it more than that? I've lost count!!)

Then this morning, we finally did the home part of another shoot that had started at the gorgeous Homebush Armory.

These poor people have waited for ages and we all can't wait to see their pictures! BUT.... we'll have to be patient. The photos have had to be uploaded onto a PC as I'm having card reader problems with my Mac.... Hopefully, I'll be able to give you all a sneak peak in the next couple of days!!!! Fingers crossed.

Fresh & New NoƩmi

I have some friends who are about to head to a new life in Asia later this year. On Saturday night, they decided to have a movie night and show a movie made in that country. They didn't send out any reminders, which I guess in hindsight was quite lucky! I arrived about 20 minutes early and on my arrival, our hostess informs me that she had been having a few contractions but she thought they were going away.

As the movie started, we realised they weren't going away. As the movie progressed, these contractions became more frequent. By the time the movie was over, labour was well and truly established!

While I stayed and babysat big brother, about an hour after arriving at the hospital, this very very cute young lady made her grand entrance.

Here she is from this afternoon, at around 60-62 hours of age.

We ran out of light so I'll be heading back for more tomorrow!

Looking very thoughtful
